Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 review

Right now I am using the device for at least 4 days from receiving it from amazon. My redmi Note 3 is the 3GB RAM, 32GB variant. The looks of the phone is really much better than it shows on amazon or in the MI website. The phone feels really premium on the hands. The metal back aluminium cover is really very premium and sandblasted . Top and bottom of the phone is made of hard plastic for the antenna.

Screen quality

Now the screen, in the specs there is no indication of what kind of protection it has. But the recent video on Twitter Hugo Barra showed us how tough it is. The resolution of the screen is at 441 ppi. The sunlight display really works great in heavy daylight but still I wish the readability was better.

Call quality

This is my new primary phone and I am using it all day long. The call quality is very good. I didn’t do any video calling but the voice chat is way better than my Asus Zenfone 5. Earpiece loudness is very good. Phone calls can be comfortably heard even in a crowd.

It has a 16.0 MP camera on the back. The picture quality is good but not that good as I have expected. The stock app of the camera is not good. I am using app DSLR PRO to capture photos. In the daylight photos are good. But in low light condition it’s pathetic. Check out the camera samples from Redmi Note 3 below or compare it with LeEco 1S here.

Gaming performance of the Redmi Note 3..

Now the gaming. Really speaking this phone is made for gaming. I didn’t play asphalt but played the need for speed no limits. No lag, heating is not so much. Game play was just awesome. I played the game for 1 hour.

Fingerprint scanner

Finger print scanner is really good. It works flawlessly in all my tests and daily use. Placed in a very convenient position for very easy access.

Rear speaker

Now the rear speaker. The loudness of it is too good. You can perfectly hear your ringtone in crowded area.

The awesome Note 3 battery life..

Now the main thing is battery life. The massive 4050 mah is really doing its thing. 20th march morning I unplug it from my charger then I use it for the whole day. My usage was moderate. I played game for about two hour, listened music for 1hour, and took some pic and record some videos(this are the total time). After all this my phone goes to 1% yesterday (21st march at night 9.30pm.). Here is my current battery stat:
