Build Quality and Design

I must say, LeTv has done a pretty good job in making Le1s thinner and lighter. With the dimensions of 151.10 x 74.20 x 7.50 and 169g, the phone looks very premium. Even being a Uni-Metal body, the phone doesn’t seem to be that heavy as it should be. The finishing is perfect and astonishing. At the top, it has 3.5mm audio jack with IR Blaster, whereas, on the bottom it has USB Type-C port and dual speakers. At the back there’s camera with dual-tone flash and the Fingerprint sensor in the middle.

Xiaomi Note 3 didn’t disappoint even. Its dimensions are 150 x 76 x 8.7 mm and 164 g. Of course, the phone is little thick and slightly heavy as compared to the former, but again, the Uni-Metal body here too, won our hearts. It’s premium metal finish and mesmerizing design is perfect and gives a head to head beat to Le1s. At the top, there’s 3.5mm jack, with IR blaster and at the bottom, it has USB 2.0 port. On the back, the phone houses camera with dual-tone flash, with fingerprint sensor beneath it. At the back bottom, it has the speakers.

Display

Both of the phones feature a 5.5 inch, full HD, 1920*1080 resolution display with 403 ppi pixel density. And in terms of brightness and screen dim light, both phones perform well, except Xiaomi Note 3. It has this cool feature of Sunlight Display hardware which indeed makes it decently legible even under direct sunlight. Neither of the phone has any problem in playing a Full HD video without any crisp and sharpness.

SoC, RAM and Storage

LeTv Le 1s has 2.2 Ghz of Octa-core Helio X10 processor, which is the latest processor by the MediaTek. With 3 GB of RAM, it doesn’t lag anywhere between switching the apps or in multitasking. The phone performs excellent in playing heavy games like Modern Combat 5 and Asphalt 8. No lags at all, just smooth gaming. In the storage, it has 32GB on internal storage, from which, 25GB is available to the user. Also, there’s no option of expanding the memory which counts as a con, straightaway. LeTv’s miserliness in expanding the storage will cost a little in winning the round. Little heating issues have been faced by the users. Even being the Uni-metalic, the phone didn’t heat up as the other phones would.

On the other hand, Redmi Note 3 has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa-core with a clock speed of 1.8Ghz, and with 3 GB of RAM, it sounds perfect. Of course, such a heavy processor won’t disappoint you in multitasking and heavy gaming. At the storage, 32GB is what Xiaomi offers, but thanks to the Hybrid Sim card slot, where you can use one of the slot for microSD card and expand the storage upto 128GB. Surprisingly, no one yet faced any heating issues at all. All the users did admit that the phone got warm, but not more than that.

Camera

In terms of hardware, both phones houses 13MP camera as the primary one, and 5MP camera for the front facing. The quality is what we had expected, and both of them delivered the” just fine” quality. Under great light and detailed color conditions, both have done decent job. But, neither of their camera’s performed well in low light and hence disappointed us. Here are some camera samples for you to check the quality.
