The Indian company Creo introduced its first flagship smartphone MARK 1, with its own OS based on Android about a month back. The company apparently has 70 engineers, designers and makers working on the smartphone.
The company differentiates itself by claiming to roll out updates for the MARK 1 every month with new features which will make you feel like using a new phone every time you update the device.
“We at Creo put users at the centre of our monthly update model. These updates will bring powerful OS level features which are not present on Android currently,” Sai Srinivas, Co-Founder and CEO.
As for the specifications, there is no official announcement from the company but according to GFXBench the device is said to have a whopping 4.6 inch Quad HD Display, will be powered by Mediatek Helio X10(MT6795) SoC clocked at 1.9Ghz with PowerVR G6200 GPU, pack 3GB RAM, 32 GB of internal Storage and will run on Android 5.1.1(Lollipop). As for the camera it will have a 21 MP rear and 8 MP front-facing camera.
Regarding MARK 1 Creo said:
“At CREO, we’re committed to #MakeBetter Android. And because we want to leave no stone unturned, we’re building both, the Operating System and the smartphone. With our OS we’ll send you relevant updates that shall keep your phone running just as new as the first time you held it. And not just that, we’ll also ship a big new feature with every update.
And just like the creatures of nature shown in our teaser commercial, whenever they change form they emerge as something greater, stronger, and better than before; we too pledge to #MakeBetter.”
Creo also came up with #Engravemyphone contest which ends in about 2 days. You will be able to engrave whatever you want in about 40 characters in the metallic side of the device.
However we are still unsure about the pricing on the device, the company is planning to release the smartphone on 13th April 2016.
So, mark your calendars and sit tight because you wouldn’t want to miss out on this one hell of a device.
